Charles was born in 1775 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, the son of Beverly B Shelton and Ann B Coleman.

He died in Mar 1855 in Todd County, Kentucky.

His wife was Elizabeth Shelton, who he married on 27 JUL 1797 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia.
