Personal and Family Information

Perry was born about 1776 in Virginia, the son of John B. Flynt and Catherine Perry.

He died on 10 May 1851 in Huntsville, Madison County, Alabama.[Note 2]

His wife was Martha Halbert, who he married on 11 NOV 1797 in Stokes County, North Carolina. Their nine known children were Elizabeth (1798-1856), John Halbert (1801-1861), Tarpley (1805-1881), Amasa (1817-1877), Julia (1819-1883), Jeremiah (1805-1870), Josephine Annie (1810-1897), Pendleton (<1811-1839) and Norris (1824-?).
