Claude Bleakly Birth: 1886 Death: Feb. 24, 1911
Newport, Jackson County, Arkansas, USA
Claude Bleakly, aged 25 years and unmarried, died Friday evening at six o'clock with meningitis at his room at the Commercial Hotel.
The deceased was taken sick Tuesday morning and suffered intensely until death relieved him. Mr. Bleakley was employed in the cafe at the "Busy Bee" and was of a genial and energetic spirit and his death is deeply regretted by his many friends.
The deceased is survived by his mother, Mrs. L.C. Bleakly, who lives on the old home place in Village Township, also one brother and four sisters to whom the sympathy of many friends is extended.
The funeral service was held at Walnut Grove Cemetery at 3 o'clock this afternoon by Rev. B.L. Harris, pastor of the Methodist Church.
