"William Lawrence Shelton, 74, Stotts City, died at 5:25 p m. Thursday in St Vincent's Hospital at Monett following an apparent heart attack. Mr. Shelton was a lifelong resident of the Stotts City community and was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife, Beulah; two daughters, Mrs. Nadine Reynolds, Tulsa, Mr. Beatrice McDonald, Columbus, Ohio; a son, John, Tulsa; three brothers, Joe, Aurora, Jack, South Gate, Calif. Guy, Carthage; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Stotts City Baptist Church with the Rev. Glen Dixon officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery."

"Services for Mrs. Beulah White Shelton, 87, a former Stotts City resident, will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Stotts City Baptist Church with the Rev. J. K. Wright officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery north of here under direction of Max L. Fossett of Mt Vernon. Mrs. Shelton died at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in a Columbus, Ohio, hospital following a long illness. She was a member of the Stotts City Baptist Church. , She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Beatrice McDonald, Columbus, Ohio, and Mrs. Nadine Reynolds, Tulsa; a brother, Harold White. Stotts City; a sister, Mrs. Faye Sampson. Apple Valley, Calif. and eight grandchildren and 14 great -grandchildren."
