Personal and Family Information

Coleman was born in 1775 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, the son of Beverly B Shelton and Ann B Coleman.

He died in MAR 1855 in Todd County, Kentucky.

His wife was Elizabeth Shelton, who he married on 27 JUL 1797 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. Their eight known children were Martha "Patsy" Smith (1800-1836), Catherine (1801-?), Chaney Elizabeth (1803-<1860), Moses Hurt (1804-1869), Henry Banks (1806-1861), Nancy Penolope (1809->1880), Coleman C. (1813-1870) and Lettice Beverly (c1820-1880).
