Her husband was Coleman Shelton, who she married on 27 JUL 1797 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. Their eight known children were Martha "Patsy" Smith (1800-1836), Catherine (1801-?), Chaney Elizabeth (1803-<1860), Moses Hurt (1804-1869), Henry Banks (1806-1861), Nancy Penolope (1809->1880), Coleman C. (1813-1870) and Lettice Beverly (c1820-1880).
