Personal and Family Information

Beverly was born about 1783 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, the son of Beverly B Shelton and Ann B Coleman.

He died about 1855 in Todd County, Kentucky.

He had three marriages/partners. His first wife was Henrietta Shelton, who he married on 31 OCT 1803 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. Their only known child was Charles Coleman (1815-1900).

His second wife was Sibby B. Tucker, who he married in MAR 1817 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. Their eight known children were Ira Ellis (c1820-1895), Elizabeth Jane (c1824-?), Nervin J (1825-?), Monroe Lee (1829-c1899), Mary Frances (1829-1903), Lettice J (1832-c1910), Mayfield C (1835-<1900) and Nancy M (1837-1881).

His third wife was Susan Powell McKinney, who he married on 28 MAR 1839 in Todd County, Kentucky. Their two known children were Jarrett R (1840-1904) and Sibby Emely (1845-1923).
