Note 1
Hall, Whitaker connection to SC Flynt in Lincoln Cty Tenn :
1850 census has Mary Whitaker with Stephen and Elizabeth,
One guess that Mary is sister to Elizabeth and hence the surname Whitaker.
However, might be better to guess that George Hall age 70 and Hammet E Hall age 61 in next dwelling, could be parents of Elizabeth.
1860 census Elizabeth, Stephen, and children are with 80 yr old George Hall, also possible family connection. 17 yr old Caroline was age 6 and with George and Hammet Hall in 1850 census, not likely child of Elizabeth and Stephen.

Kathy: Many Thanks!!! If you should happen to run into any info on Ben or Emily Flynt Alexander, please keep me in mind. Would you happen to know what the V stands for in Emily V Flynt? I have it as Venvilla, but I don't remember where I got that from..... I have a few new pieces of Flynt information on my Tree that I am excited about. Many thanks to updated info provided by someone else on Find a Grave for George Hall, I found a Lincoln Co Will abstract for George Hall, which includes a daughter Elizabeth Malinda Flynt and other siblings. That has got to be her. (this may not be new info to you, but it is to me) I have sent off for a copy of the Will and will share it with you & Arthur when I get it.... I found some small newspaper death notices for Elizabeth M Flynt and Stephen C Flynt which provide date and location of death (Brownsville, AR) They died a month apart of pneumonia...how sad...but I get excited about every new detail, even if it is sad news.....these news articles are posted on my Tree. Will be happy to send you copies, etc, just let me know. ... As time goes on, new information & documents continue to trickle in.. I remain hopeful to find out more about our mysterious Hammett Flynt, whose 1856 Nashville photograph I keep in my fire proof safe (which I never lock, but I obtained for the purpose of keeping old photos)....I love the Tennessee Library and State Archives!!! My gosh , it is amazing. It is 15 minutes from my home and open on Saturday, so I have no excuse not to go. If you need something there, let me know. I am still a novice, but the people who work there are so helpful, and the on-line TSLA catalog allows me to "shop" before I arrive, so I go straight to what I came to find. I am so impressed with Tennessee Archives!! Tennessee is the state in which more of my ancestors moved through on their way to some place else. Goodness. I am in a good place!
