Archelas was born in 1730 in St Peter Parish, New Kent County, VA, the son of Thomas Elmore and Cecilia Ellyson.
He died in 1786 in Orange County, North Carolina.
His wife was Susannnah Morris. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their two known children were John Archer (1762-1834) and Ann Nancy (1754-c1842).
