McCALL, Idaho - Memorial services for Lloyd Claypool Woods III, 55, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Paradise Point Episcopal Camp.
A celebration of his life will also be held in Boise for friends who cannot attend the memorial services. Arrangements are by Heikkila Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Woods died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003, after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born in Plainview, Texas. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1966 and played basketball at Baylor University in Waco. He owned a gas station in Salem, Ore., renovated historic buildings in Idaho, was in a partnership with White Savage and owned restaurants in Canon Beach, Ore., and Boise.
He loved the Idaho back country and was a licensed Outfitter and Guide at Pistol Creek Ranch where his ashes will be spread in the spring of 2004.
In 1967, he married Marsha Stimson and they had a daughter, Stefany Mahoney of Hailey, Idaho. In 1985, he married Judi Maitland in Portland, Ore. They have two children, Bailey and Kyler Woods of McCall.
Other survivors include his mother, Madge Woods of Plainview; a sister, Rhoda Beth Cummings of Reno, Nev.; a niece, Courtney, and a nephew, Carter, both of Reno; and a great-nephew, Ethan, also of Reno.
His father, Lloyd C. Woods Jr., and an aunt, Helen Elizabeth Woods, are deceased.
The family suggests memorials to St. Luke´s Hospice of McCall, 100 State Street, McCall, Idaho 83638.
