DICKSON, Madeline JEFFERSON - {A Memorial} Madeline Jefferson was born in Bentonville, Arkansas on May 14th, 1867.
She was the oldest of eight children of John J. and Cynthia Woods Jefferson. Her childhood days were spent in and around Bentonville. She was always a kind and obedient child.
On January 21st, 1885 she was married to Dwight Dickson. To them were born two children, Dwight Bennett and Dee Russell Bennett, the eldest, passed into the great beyond on June 6th, 1923.
Mrs. Dickson was a very devoted wife and mother and her life was spent in making her home happy and caring for her family and relatives. She professed religion in November 1893 and united with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and remained true to the faith the faith the remainder of her life.
On the morning of December 19th, 1923 at 3:15 a.m. she departed this life.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Dwight Dickson, one son, Russell Dickson, four grandchildren, Dwight Bennett and Lon Russell {the twins}, Dee Ruth and Marguerite McGill Dickson; two sisters, Mrs. Edgar Carnahan and Mrs. Perry Arthur, and one brother, John Jefferson, all of whom were present at the funeral except her brother. J.M. McMahen.
