Samuel Eldridge Featherston, 47, prominent Benton County farmer and stockman and member of the Bentonville school board, died Monday afternoon at his home in the Pumpkin Hollow community after a short illness of pneumonia.
Mr. Featherston is survived by his parents, George and Parthena Featherston, his wife, Ollie Allison Featherston, four children and four brothers, Will and Harley of the New Home Community, Clarence and Charles of Muskogee and by a sister, Mrs. Carrie Barton of Muskogee.
Funeral service was held Tuesday morning at the New Home Methodist church near Bella Vista with Rev. W. C. Hutton of the Bentonville circuit of the M.E. church, south, in charge. Burial was in the Bentonville cemetery.
