Daniel was born in 1799 in North Carolina, the son of unknown parents.^{[Note 2]}

He has died but the date and place are unknown.

His wife is not known. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their six known children were William (1822-?), John (1828-?), Sarah (1830-?), Nancy (1837-?), Catherine (1839-?) and Margaret (1841-?).

Adjoining is District 14 are William Bowie family #66 and David Bird family #65.

David Bird born NC and in New Hope Cemetery in Henderson Cty. If this Bird family is same as Abraham Bird husband of Mary Bowie, daughter of Rezin and Elvie Bowie, then close connection of David and Rezin is suggested.
