Obituaries from Benton County, Ark Vol 3 1905-1909 Page 48-49 -
Rogers Democrat---Rogers, AR----March 9,1905-----MAXWELL, Thomas J. - Lowell, Ark., March 5th. - Died, Friday, March 3 at his home near Lowell, Thomas J. Maxwell, second son of Andrew J. Maxwell and wife.
Brother Jerry was born February 14, 1868 in Benton county; professed faith in Christ in 1887 and joined the Baptist church soon after and lived as a faithful member until called to the home above. He was married to Miss Lucy Lovelace February 25, 1891 and this union has been blessed with four children, all living. He left a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn their loss but we sorrow not as those who have no hope. He was ready and willing to go and often spoke of his going, saying he was not afraid to die. He was buried at the Goad Springs graveyard Sunday evening amidst a large crowd of friends. Funeral services were conducted by W.F. Greene. One by one we are passing over.
