Kenneth Marlar, 76, of Newport, Arkansas died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007.

Marlar was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Frances Boyd Marlar; his parents; four brothers - Dale, Woodrow, John and Neil Ennis; and two sisters - Agnes Marlar Weaver and Christine Ennis Ward.

Survivors include his son, Richard Boyd Marlar of Bentonville; daughter, Susan DeAnn Poorman and husband Duane of Edmond, Okla.; grand-children, William Kenneth Poorman, David Eli Poorman and Janie Suzann Poorman; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were held in First Baptist Church. Interment was in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Arrangements were by Jackson's Newport Funeral Home.
