Thomas was born on 29 Jan 1790 in North Carolina, the son of Allen Walker and Esther McCrory.

He died on 13 Dec 1875 in Marion County, Alabama.

His wife was Nancy Anges Thornbury, who he married on 28 DEC 1812 in Randolph County, North Carolina. Their three known children were Dovinah (1822-1899), Samuel Addison Gardner (1828-1919) and James H (1834-1887).

Note 1

Thomas Walker served in the War of 1812, either in Craven's Company or in a unit organized in Craven County. He and Nancy removed to Georgia prior to 1830. It is supposed he received Bounty Land Warrants as a result of military service. Census records find Thomas in Newton County in 1830 and Murray County in 1840 and 1850. He signed as a Murray ranger to protect citzens of North Georgia from Cherokee and Creek Indians. In 1860 Thomas and Nancy are found in Marion County, Alabama. In 1870 Thomas was residing with S.A.G.
