Notes

Note 1

both the City of Chicago Permit for Burial and Mount Greenwood Cemetery record #8024 states age as 37 yrs 1 mo 17days and date of death as Feb 14, 1900.

Using GEDCOM date calculator, gives birth date as 30 Dec 1862.

counting by hand on a calendar can give Dec 29 or 28 depending on which days are included to begin and end the count.

There was also something in one of Alice's letters that indicates birth day is about Dec 28 -30.

Gage Family Tree by DonS Gage, info from JSG family book/Wilmette Historical Museum has birth of Kellogg, Alice DeWolf as 2 Dec 1862, Chicago, Cook County, Illinois and death 14 Feb 1900 same place.

JSG probably is John Sheppard Gage 1870 - 1965 who lived in Wilmette in 1900. son of Asahel Gage
