She had two marriages/partners. Her first husband was William Bernard Jr Wiemers, who she married on 5 FEB 1945 in Winnetka, Cook County, Ilinois. Their five known children were Marquerite Theobald (1946-?), Charles Decker (1949-?), JoAnne (1951-2016), Patricia Lloyd (1956-?) and Catherine DeWolf (1963-?).

Her second husband was Clayton Freeman Ayers, who she married on 5 FEB 1988 in Mendham, New Jersey. They had no known children.
