Note 1

Emma was one of thirteen baptized on Sunday, August 9, 1931 in Wattensaw Creek near Wattensaw Baptist Church.

Brother Clayton, Step Brother Wilson, cousins Inez Goodwin, Alta Tucker, Lucille Flynt, and Lorene Merritt were among the 13.

Note 2

embalmed and buried on the day she died by crazy daughter. no other family notified until next day .

Note 3

Moved to Augusta when she and Billy married. They bought house at 216 South Fourth from Mclewee family and lived there until 1972 when they bought house from Vernon Collier at 401 Magnolia.

She moved to Clarksville in 1992, 3 years after Billy died.

Note 4

From Jan to May 1942, she taught home economics at Yellville, Arkansas High School.

Quit Yellville and began working night shift at Jacksonville, Arkansas defense plant-munitions manfacturer-from summer 1942 until marriage in February 1943

recruited in 1957 to teach Sixth Grade at Augusta High School.

quit from full time teaching 1973 when daughter graduated OBU. to part time substitue, then to tutoring Dr Steve Coller children.

Retired from teaching1980.
