Notes

Note 1

Leslie Earnest Woods passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016. He was born on December 6, 1925 to Fred and Dorothy Ella Woods in Phenix, Mo.

After serving in the U.S. Navy, he met and married the love of his life, Berniece Bolin, on December 25, 1947. During their marriage of almost 69 years, they had two sons: Wayne of Arizona, and Roger of Fair Grove, Mo.; three granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Edith.

Les was an avid fisherman and loved to yard sale, tell jokes and spend time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Berniece, of Springfield; his two sons and Roger's wife, Patricia; granddaughters: Lawayna (Lou) and her husband, Frank Rios, of Springfield, Mo., Christan Woods of Marshfield, Mo., and Carrie and her husband, Drew Del Fante of Marshfield, Mo.; eight grandchildren: Gage and Jade Rios, Logan and Abbie Del Fante, Caylen Starks, Nate, Carleah and Cade Coker; a sister and brother-in-law, Edith and Vernon Moody; and a host of family and friends.

He could always be counted on to fix the many, many things brought to him by his kids and grandkids. He will be greatly missed, but he will be carried in our hearts forever. We love you Dad, Grandpa and brother.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2016, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home North.

In lieu of flowers, if you wish, you may donate to Paws for Vets, and please take time to thank a veteran for their service.
