One of the first memories …(of Rev Denton Woods has of his father ).. is when as a child of six years he stood in the floor of the old homestead and saw father sitting on the side of the bed where Robbie lay all pale and father was holding his hand. And to our suprise when Robbie’s last breath was gone father kneeled by the bed, still holding the hand of that beautiful boy of 14, and said “The Lord gave, the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord.” Then he arose to comfort mother and the brothers and sisters and then to direct about the funeral.
