Notes

Note 1

Dr. Robert Temple Dickson married Henrietta Fancher on 28 January 1858 at Osage, Arkansas. He preceded her in death in 1867. It was while the couple was living in Baylor County, Arkansas that Dr. Dickson volunteered for the Confederate Army. Dr. Brooks served in the position of assistant surgeon to Brooks' Battalion Cavalry.

Broken in health, her husband, Dr. Robert Temple Dickson received his discharge and the family went to Thorp Springs in search for his health. Many Confederate soldiers came there for the same reason. Dr. Dickson did not recover and died at the age of 36 years.
