James and Caniza came to Jackson County with 3 children enroute maybe to Missouri. James was stricken ill and died, is buried on unmarked grave on the Simmons farm near Tupelo.

Earlier spelling was Buie per her Dad, Arthur.

JAMES W? BUIE 30 male, white, $300 real estate, carpenter Ireland

C.McBride?. 33 female, white, born Miss

Mary Buie, 1, female, white, born "dto-- Miss"?

This isn't a bad fit if spelling is W Buie and not McBride. Carpenter and young daughter named Mary are good fits with Doris info.

JW Buie sign marrage certifcate to C Reeves in 1859, again possible fit.

also is James P Buie in township 8 east, dwelling 242 age 21, born Miss

could there be connection between JW Bowie leaving northern mississippi for Ben Simmons land in NE Arkansas in mid to late 1880s and Ben Simmons bear hunting at a camp in NE Mississippi in that same time frame?
