MAXWELL, Altha - According to a wire received Friday noon by relatives Mrs. Altha Maxwell died at 12:30 Thursday night at her home in Portales, New Mexico after a long illness. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 with burial in the Long cemetery at Portales.
Besides her husband, Fred Maxwell, she is survived by two daughters, Gladys and Bernice, and two sons, Don Calvin, all at home except Gladys who is married and lives here. Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell are natives of Benton county but moved to New Mexico twenty five years ago. Mrs. Maxwell is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Jess Mabrey near Lowell.
